Mark your calendar for the McLain Celtic Festival, this year on Saturday, August 30 on the grounds of Two Mile House!

The Cumberland County Historical Society has announced a new outdoor concert series on the grounds of the Two Mile House in Carlisle, home of the McLain Celtic Festival. They have asked Susquehanna Folk to partner with them for the first concert featuring Fire in the Glen.

This exciting, eclectic Celtic duo from the Lancaster area is Jason Mundok on guitar and vocals, and Tom Knapp on fiddle, bodhran and backing vocals. Fire in the Glen serves up a rollicking selection of traditional music from Ireland, Scotland and the Canadian Maritimes, including blistering fiddle tunes, mug-thumping pub songs, soulful airs and touching ballads -- and some unusual twists as well!

Refreshments and ice cream are slated for sale at the concert, as well. Two Mile House is an elegant, historic Federal residence on wooded and landscaped grounds... an idyllic place to spend an summer evening.
