"Laissez les bons temps rouler!" Susquehanna Folk is pleased to sponsor a Cajun Cabaret with one of our favorite local Cajun bands. The event features an afternoon intro-level dance class followed by a dinner break, and a cabaret-style dance party in the evening. The hotel plans to open its bar for the event.
Enjoy live music by the Bayou Bandits, active on the Harrisburg scene since 1994. SFMS members will remember the Bayou Bandits as the featured band at our 2006 Special Event. They also played for our Cajun dance last spring.
Our dance masters are Michael Hart and Sharon Schiliro of Washington, D.C. Working together as "Dancing by the Bayou", this dynamic duo has been a major force on the Cajun/Zydeco scene for almost 20 years. They have taught at "Buffalo Jambalaya" and other Cajun weekends in the past. They were a big hit last year in Harrisburg, and we're pleased to bring them to York.

Designed for beginning dancers with little or no background in Cajun dancing. Mike and Sharon will present basic Cajun dance steps to get everyone into the swing of things.

Cajun Dinner at the OffCenter Grill
Because you asked... the good folks at the OffCenter Grille, located downstairs in the hotel, are offering three delicious Cajun entrees just for us, at the special price of $12 each.

Try out your new steps to the hot music of the Bayou Bandits. Mike and Sharon will assist dancers throughout the evening, and do a mini-performance to demonstrate some of the more difficult steps.
