Kipona is presented by the City of Harrisburg.
Harrisburg's Kipona Celebration is held downtown at Riverfront Park and City Island over Labor Day weekend. It features a variety of food, children's activities, juried fine arts & crafts, music, and other family activities. One of the oldest waterfront festivals in the United States, Kipona hosts the March of Dimes Rubber Duck Regatta; the Kipona Canoe Races; the Pennsylvania State Chili Cook-Off; the Footbag Tournament; and the Native American Pow Wow. And don't forget the largest fireworks display in Pennsylvania on Sunday evening!
