Funding Sources
The Susquehanna Folk Music Society receives about one-third of its income from ticket revenues. How do we manage to provide the kind of high-quality, affordable folk programming that we are known for?

Advertising
Advertising revenue from our Concert Series Programme Book helps to support our programming, and covers publishing costs for the book itself.

Exchanges
We often exchange programme ads with other arts organizations, or offer advertising in exchange for in-kind contributions. In this way, we all support one another.
Operating Grants
-
Major funding for SFMS programming is provided by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, administered locally by Jump Street. We also receive grants from philanthropic organizations ranging from local and state entities to national corporations. In past seasons we have received major grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
