SFMS Booking Policy

First, the grumpy bit: Unsolicited promo packs will not be opened. That said, we do invite folk artists to apply using the guidelines below.

Concert Series

For our Concert Series, SFMS books well-known national or international artists. While not always well known to the general public, these performers have wide name recognition in folk circles. See our current season's schedule for examples.

Artists of this caliber are invited to apply via email to concerts (at) sfmsfolk.org.

Please include a one-line description of who you are and what you do, as well as venues you have played in Central Pennsylvania. Please note we book well in advance, usually 12 to 18 months out.

World Music & Dance Series

Our World Music & Dance Series books approximately 6 months in advance. Bands and dance instructors known to the local International Dance community may apply via email to dances (at) sfmsfolk.org.

Other Opportunities

Our Coffee House series showcases local acoustic musicians in 20-minute sets. While these are strictly volunteer gigs, performers love the smoke-free atmosphere and attentive, appreciative audience. It's a nice opportunity to build a fan base in the Harrisburg area. Performer slots go fast, so don't delay! Call Ralph Dahle at 717-657-8709.
