Folk Concerts at the Midtown Scholar

The Midtown Scholar Bookstore will host Scottish-American singer, songwriter, and folk musician David Ferrard on Wednesday, May 25, 7 - 9 p.m. Donations suggested. Questions about this event? Contact Deanne Shirey at (717) 439-3140.

The Midtown Scholar presents folk concerts in their newly renovated and expanded bookstore-coffeehouse (The Famous Reading Cafe). Visit them at 1302 North Third Street, directly across from the Broad Street Market. They're open Wednesday-Saturday 9-9, and Sunday 12-7. Browse through 100,000+ used and rare books, sip fair-trade coffees and teas, and enjoy their Yellow Wall Gallery.

Monthly folk concerts including:

  • June 18, 3pm: Ellis Paul's Family Show
  • June 18, 8pm: XPN welcomes Ellis Paul

"3rd in the Burg" free music third Fridays 7-9pm as part of Harrisburg's 3rd & 2nd street art-walk.

"Folk Cafe Fridays" last Fridays 7-9pm with free coffeehouse-style performances by regional musicians.
