Bluegrass Concert at King's Gap ...New Info!
THIS EVENT EXPIRED FROM OUR DATABASE ON 8/9/2010.
On Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 4 pm to 8:30 pm, enjoy a beautiful summer evening of leisurely outdoor fun at King's Gap State Park, just south of Carlisle. Two terrific Central PA Bluegrass Bands -- Colebrook Road and Bailey's Crossing -- will bring this mountain to life with some great foot-stompin' music.
Know the music of Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, Seldom Scene, The Infamous Stringdusters or Ricky Scaggs? Well, we've got the concert for you! Both bands are rooted in such Greats, offering the best in traditional and contemporary bluegrass music.
Bring your lawn chair or blanket to the top of the mountain and settle in for an evening of bluegrass at its best. The view will be spectacular. Incredible sunset almost guaranteed. And think picnic. Food vendors will be ready to serve you.
This is great music everyone will enjoy so invite your family and friends and anybody you know. It's a big mountain; there's room for everyone! The concert is free, but donations are kindly accepted.
Rain in the forecast? We'll have the music. You bring the umbrella.
