Irish Sessions in the Area
There are several Irish sessions in the area, for musicians interested in playing Irish music OR for listeners looking for craic and merriment.
- First Sundays, 2-6pm at Garryowen Irish Pub, 126 Chambersburg St, Gettysburg, PA. Open traditional Irish session -- bring your instruments! Also, on Third Sundays, come listen to the invitation-only Irish session. Call Dan at 717-451-4880 for more info.
- Every other Monday, 7:30-11:30pm at Ceoltas Irish Pub, 310 N. 2nd Street in Harrisburg. Info 717-233-3202
- Second Tuesdays, 6:30pm at Coakley's Restaurant & Irish Pub, 305 Bridge St in New Cumberland. 717-774-5556
- Thursday following the 3rd Tuesday (get that?) at Flavers Food & Spirits, 45 N Market St in Elizabethtown. 717-361-2115.
- Every Friday, 9pm at Puirseil's Irish Pub, 15 South 6th St, Lewisburg, PA, 570-523-6000. Open session preceded by a performance of Irish traditional music by the band Lux Bridge, starting at 8pm. (This session previously at The Daily Grind Coffee Shop in Vicksburg)
NOTE: Middle Ridge Tavern in Newport has closed, so the First Tuesdays Irish session has been cast adrift once more.
