We especially thank the following contributors for their support of the Summer Fest & Picnic:

  • Bruce & Joan Kolka

We wrapped up our 25th Anniversary season on July 11, 2010 at Fort Hunter, with our second annual Susquehanna Folk Summer Fest & Picnic! Participants enjoyed a summer afternoon of family activities, games, kid-friendly crafts with Karen Lee Miller Newman (KLMN-tine), participatory clog dancing, a potluck picnic and more.

Local entertainment included Bobbi Carmitchell, Waitin' on a Train, Raisin' Cain, Joseph Osborne, Ed Horan, We 3, Robert Bobby, and Hank Imhof. Special thanks to emcee Ralph Dahle and auctioneer Vance Enck.

Our Silent Auction presented a dazzling array of items: CDs by artists from around the region; tickets to upcoming performances; gift certificates for local businesses; and jewelry, pottery and other items made by local artisans.

Proceeds from our Silent Auction and all other donations made at this event go toward future SFMS programming that we can all enjoy.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE!

SFMS sincerely thanks everyone who made the day a success: attendees... performers... Silent Auction bidders... all the businesses, artisans, and individuals who donated the tempting array of items for the Silent Auction... all the performers... and especially the volunteers and supporters who pulled all the festivities together.
