Stories, as well as songs, can be powerful vehicles for social change. Join master storyteller Sheila Arnold for a thought-provoking and inspiring workshop.

Fairytales can engage us in the imaginary and hopeful. Folktales gives us glimpses into cultural thoughts and norms. This session will combine hopes and cultural thoughts to address social justice issues, like suicide, PTSD, poverty, immigration, race reconciliation, etc.

Participants will hear a story combining fairy tale and a current issue, and then join a group discussion and brainstorm how we can use the oldest stories as vehicles for awareness and change.

Ms Sheila Arnold is a “Professional Imaginator” with a passion, vision and ministry of healing hearts, unifying communities and reminding people to share their stories. She is a talented teaching artist and interpreter of historical characters, and Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Artists Standing Strong Together (ASST).
