Called “...the Irish equivalent of Emmylou Harris” (Washington Post), Karan Casey is an incomparable singer of everything from traditional Irish ballads to jazz and blues. In addition to her solo career, she has worked with artists ranging from Solas and Lúnasa to the Boston Pops Orchestra to James Taylor and Tim O’Brien. For this show, Karan is appearing with Sheila Falls and Matt Heaton. Concert on Wed, March 8 at The Abbey Bar @ABC. MORE

The evening before their Sunday evening concert in Harrisburg, caller Caroline Barnes and guest guitarist Owen Morrison join them for a contra dance on Sat, April 15 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Lancaster. We start off with classic rock, folk, country & blues from the Joe Cooney Duo, followed by the emotive original songs of Michael Arthur. After a brief intermission, The Chestnuts cover great old artists from the 40s to the 80s, and Nothin’ Ta Plunder wraps up the evening with classic rock, blues and 60s music, plus a few country and original numbers.
