About This Event:

Susquehanna Folk Coffeehouses are intimate evenings showcasing Central Pennsylvania's fine amateur acoustic musicians, who play a wide variety of material for an attentive, music-loving audience. This edition of the Coffeehouse features a heaping helping of acoustic roots music, “old school” folk and stellar guitar work: bluesmen Hank Imhof and Lewis Bechtold as "Deuce on the Loose," folksinger Pat McCaskey, guitar wizard Randy Zwally, and blues fingerpicker Neil Tapp.

Deuce on the Loose

Deuce on the Loose is the duo of Hank Imhof and Lewis "Lewy Dean" Bechtold, two veterans of the Central PA blues scene. Hank's love of music and learning shows in an array of genres that covers decades of music: blues, jazz, gospel, folk, bluegrass and rock. Lewis is a singer and harmonica player from Lancaster. His band Blues on the Loose celebrates the highs and lows of the human condition, keeping American music history alive.

Pat McCaskey

Pat McCaskey is a singer/songwriter of the old school. He sings traditional tunes, love songs, ballads, and just about anything else that he likes, and thinks that others might like as well. Music and singing have been part of Pat’s life since his earliest memories. He has been in and out of the folk music world since 1960. He last stepped away from performing in 2014, but has just recently gotten back out there — “still singing after all these years”.

Randy Zwally

Guitarist and singer Randall Zwally recently retired from Messiah University, where he was Senior Lecturer in Music and Director of Guitar Studies. He is a guitar (and banjo) educator and performer who holds Master's degrees in Guitar Performance and Music Librarianship, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He plays acoustic steel string guitar (flat pick and finger style), classical guitar, and 5-string banjo (folk and bluegrass).

Neil Tapp

Neil Tapp draws from the fingerpicking mastery of Doc Watson, Rev. Gary Davis, and pre-war country blues, ragtime, folk and early jazz. His passion for the art of fingerstyle guitar is obvious as he traces the history and developing styles from the 1920's to today. His repertoire ranges from his own originals to Doc Watson, Leo Kottke, Ry Cooder, Lightnin’ Hopkins and more.
