Ticket revenues and membership dues cover only about half of our operating costs. Contributions and grants are crucial to our ability to present folk programming that is both high-quality and affordable.

Fundraisers
In addition to our own fundraiser events, SFMS participates in fundraisers operated by other organizations, such as Give Local York in early May, and the annual Capital 10 Miler: A Run for the Arts!

We offer sponsorship opportunities ranging from "Your Name In Lights" event sponsorships to naming rights on our Susquehanna Folk Festival stages.

The Susquehanna Folk Music Society is a charitable entity, organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and it is eligible to receive tax deductible contributions. We encourage all persons who are interested in charitable tax deductions to consult with their tax advisors regarding specific donations to SFMS. We will provide contributors with receipts for tax purposes.
