2-4 pm at the Srour home
In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, the second in a series of Susquehanna Folk House Parties will be held at the beautiful home of Cushla and Jim Srour in York. The afternoon will feature a wine tasting of wines from local wineries, Irish themed desserts, Irish Coffee, an Irish-themed raffle and live Irish music and dance. All proceeds from the event will benefit future Susquehanna Folk programming.
Guests will enjoy musical entertainment by Irish Blessing, the Srour family band featuring mom Cushla on piano and flute, husband Jim on bodhran, and son Joshua on fiddle. Cushla is a student of Donna Long from Cherish the Ladies and Josh is a student of Brian Conway, World Champion fiddler. Additionally Joshua, who has competed six times in the World Irish Step Dance Championships and qualified and attended the All-Ireland World Championships in Music, will be performing Irish step dance.
