SFMS Committees include:

• Finance Committee

  — A vital committee, and the one for which we have the greatest need. This committee oversees the financial health of SFMS. Its tasks include reviewing event proposals and setting the budget. The Finance Committee meets evenings on a monthly basis in Lemoyne at the home of Bruce Kolka.

• Concert Committee

  — This committee plans for and staffs concerts, searches for new talent and offers suggestions for future concerts. New in 2010: the Concert Committee will also set a marketing plan with promotional strategies for SFMS events. The Concert Committee meets evenings every other month in New Cumberland at the home of Jess Hayden.

• Resource Development Committee

  — This committee plans and executes fund raising programs and events. This committee meets monthly at 8:00 in the morning at the CAI building near the Harrisburg Mall.

• York Folk Committee

  — This committee manages and staffs SFMS events held at the Yorktowne Hotel. The committee is also involved in promoting our events in York, making suggestions for future concerts, and raising funds in the York community. This committee meets evenings roughly every other month at the Martin Library in York.

Board of Directors

A thirteen-member Board oversees all of SFMS. Members are all volunteers, serving three-year terms, who are dedicated to shaping the future of SFMS.
